Tri-City Interfaith Council & Compassionate Fremont
Sister Elaine represents our Congregation in the community through her membership in both the Tri-City Interfaith Council and the Compassionate Fremont groups. Both promote justice issues which are important to our Sisters. Collaboration and Advocacy are important elements of these groups, so it is not uncommon to find Sister speaking at City COuncil meetings, or standing with members for the monthly “We Are One” rally on the corner of Walnut and Paseo Padre Blvd, in Fremont, CAThese groups, along with our Sisters, also came together to erect a Declaration of Human Rights themed BoxArt on the corner of Paseo Padre Blvd. and Thornton Avenue, in Fremont. Community Connections through Justice and Collaboration
The Tri-City Interfaith Council is a grass-roots organization bringing together people of diverse religious beliefs from Fremont, Newark, and Union City (California).
Compassionate Fremont comes together to promote respect, understanding, cooperation, and appreciation for the many spiritual paths and faith traditions within our community that inspires and teaches us to love and support one another more fully.
Through these groups, and other collaborations, our Sisters continue to seek out, serve, support, and advocate for all in our community.
