Our name is Holy Family: Our spirit is life.
I grew up in a working-class Catholic family and attended parochial school for most of my education. The Dominican Sisters first taught me discipline and faith, but it was the Sisters of the Holy Family who showed me what it meant to truly live that faith. Through release-time catechism classes, home visits to the sick, and outreach to families in need, I witnessed their compassion and dedication firsthand. My family often helped by bringing food and vegetables to support their ministry. As I grew older, experiences working in a hospital run by the Adrian Dominicans and in a pediatrician’s, office deepened my understanding of human suffering, courage, and the importance of prayer. I saw people searching for hope and companionship during difficult times. During a Novena of Perpetual Help, I realized I was called to join the Sisters of the Holy Family. Their example taught me that faith is not only learned—it must be lived through service, presence, and love for others
