Sister Aurora’s life has been guided by faith, family, service, and prayer. Inspired by the scriptures, “I have called you by name, you are mine” (Isaiah 43:1) and “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10), she has dedicated her life to religious ministry and serving others with compassion and humility. Raised in a hardworking Mexican American family in East Los Angeles, Aurora learned perseverance, generosity, and the importance of community from her grandparents and parents. Her family’s deep faith and commitment to prayer shaped her vocation from an early age. After years of discerning God’s call, she entered religious life and devoted herself to teaching catechism, supporting families, serving people with special needs, and building welcoming faith communities. Through decades of ministry, Sister Lydia continues to believe in gratitude, courage, and listening closely to God’s guidance in everyday life
